My name is Gyöngyi Donáth, better known as Pearly in the beady world. I live in Budapest, Hungary. Creative activity has always been an important part of my life. Before discovering the world of beads in 2010 I made drawings, paintings, needlework and pottery.

I started surfing the Internet for bead patterns and learned the different beading techniques. At this time I beaded many hours per day after work, and beading soon became my passion.

I designed my first jewellery in 2012. Since then I don't follow beading patterns and tutorials. What makes me really happy is finding out and creating something new, that never existed before. I just love mixing colors and experimenting with the huge variety of different bead shapes. I feel real joy that my jewelry designs are known by many people around the world and through them I bring happiness in other people's lives.

I work full-time as an economist in a commercial bank, but what makes me happy is when I can save some time for myself and my beads. I conduct beading courses a few times per month where I teach bead lovers to make my newest designs.

In 2015 one of my bracelet designs was published in Perlen Poesie, issue no. 27. This March I exhibited on Beaders Best in Stuttgart where I also taught several courses.
